APD Red Dog Unit Conducts Public Strip/Cavity Search!
In an affront to common dignity and civilized behavior, proof is surfacing that officers of the Atlanta Police Department's "Red Dog Unit" conducted strip searches, including an anal cavity search, in full view of the public! This shocking episode proves that the TSA-style policing mentality is coming to the streets of America. Unsurprisingly, the strip/cavity search was undertaken in the search for illegal drugs-- of which none were found. Nevertheless, the city stonewalled on the investigation, and Atlanta Police Chief George Turner is not planning to disband the thuggish Red Dog terror unit! If this isn't unreasonable search and seizure, or cruel and unusual punishment- I don't know what is!
These special tactics units clearly invite the abuse of the public. These thugs are a menace to the citizenry. Who knows what other outrageous crimes against humanity they have committed? They are sent out onto the streets with the mentality of a mob of gangsters. And now the taxpayer has to pay for their crimes!? The offending officers and the police chief himself should be responsible for paying whatever damages a court would award the victim. We the people cannot allow these brutes to hide behind their badges. Police reform NOW!

I don't even approve of cavity searches in prison, though at least there I do see the necessity of them. You can't just stop some guys at random and cavity search them. Even if these guys had turned out to have drugs, which evidently they didn't, it wouldn't have been remotely okay.
